Writer's Avenue gives talented new playwrights the opportunity to develop their skills and showcase their work in a series of new writing events.

It begins with THE FIRST 20 MINUTES, when selected writers have the opening pages of their play performed in front of an audience who then provide written feedback.

The best plays of The First 20 Minutes, as voted for by the audience, are then shortlisted for two further events.

THE NEXT STAGE:  Rehearsed readings of the full length play

THE FINAL STAGE: After further development, the opening 20 minutes of the plays from

from The Next Stage are shown again in front of an industry panel and a voting audience.                                        

The winner of The Final Stage wins a full production of their play by Writer’s Avenue.      

At all stages of development and performance writers receive written feedback from both the literary department and the audience.
